Fun in the Sun at Warm-Weather Training Camp
A squad of 17 students have just returned from a week of warm-weather training in Lanzarote which was the culmination of a three-month fitness programme.
The Year 8 and 9 boys had been working hard ahead of the training camp, developing their own fitness and resilience while learning about nutrition.
Their preparation included cycling the 2,620 miles from Liverpool to Lanzarote on exercise bikes in the Lifestyles gym, while they also completed a bag-pack in Sainsbury's to help fund the trip.
Mr Phipps and Mr Sewill led the programme, which aimed to create a memorable experience for the students which will hopefully inspire them to lead healthy and active lifestyles.
In between the training and sport activities, there was also time to explore what Lanzarote had to offer, including The Wave Rider Experience, Rancho Texas, Go Karting San Bartolome and Aqua Park Costa Teguise.
Thanks to Jack Talbot, Setto Sports Events and Touring Team Organisers for their help in making the trip such a success.
