U19 Team do the Treble!

Our sixth form football team completed the county treble on Wednesday 14 May. They have won the U19 Merseyside Schools and College League and Cup and also the Merseyside Shield.

This season the team have played 23 matches, won 22, scoring an impressive 88 goals against 24. In fact their only defeat was 10-9 on penalties in round seven of the U19 National Cup!

Team manager Paul Pomford said: "It has been an absolute pleasure to manage this group of boys. They have represented our school with great dignity and humility and have shown fantastic sportsmanship at all times. I have received many plaudits along the way for their conduct both on and off the pitch from rival teams and schools."

Congratulations to Daniel Stinchcomb, Aaron Doran, Ben Forshaw, Jack Riley, Noah Rudkin, Kieran Gaul, Paul Lang, Alex Birmingham, Liam Parkinson, Richard King, Michael Nolan, Jonathan Nzeyimana, Lewis Donnelly, Lee Francis, Paul Fletcher and Elliot Powell.
