Lovely London Trip

A group of our year 12 and 13 art students recently took a trip to London to take inspiration from the historical and contemporary masters at the Tate Modern and Tate Britain galleries.

They travelled around the city by tube and on foot, walking along the South Bank in the bright winter sun to take in the sights and sounds of the capital.

Students not only had the chance to see some spectacular works of art they also had time to create some of their own during practical activities designed to explore different styles and techniques.

After a culture packed day the group decamped to Chinatown for dinner and there was just time to visit Piccadilly Circus to see the Chrismas lights before heading to Euston to catch the train back up north.

Well done to Sam, Ambar, Lewis, Emma, Peter, Joseph, Liam, Michael and Michael, Jamie and Luke on your conduct and excellent behaviour, on the train home two ladies commented to teachers: "What a lovely group of students and staff who obviously care and respect one another."
