147 Goals and Counting…

We're just a few weeks into the new academic year and football season and Cardinal Heenan Catholic High School's 2013/14 campaign is already off to a flying start. In the first 20 games our boys in Years 7 to 13 have netted 147 goals, clocked up an impressive six clean sheets and as it stands have a remarkable goal difference of 124!

The results so far suggest this season will be as successful as the last for our school teams - in September 2012 our Under 15 football team took a trip of a lifetime to play in The Subroto Mukerjee Cup in India, our Year 7 footballers played in the Amsterdam Cup, won the Merseyside Cup and represented England in the Danone Nations Cup final at Wembley. Meanwhile our Year 9 footballers won the Echo Cup and the Liverpool Cup and our sixth formers won the Everton Under 19 Senior Shield.

Keep up the good work boys!
