BBC Radio 2: 500 Words Competition
BBC Radio 2 is inviting students up to the age of 13 to take part in its '500 Words' writing competition.
You can find out all about the competition (and how to apply) on the BBC website. You could have your story read out on the radio if you win so if you think you've got a good idea send it in! You've got until Thursday 25th February to take part.

Subject which uses this term: Drama, Music, PE
Meaning: Competent or skilled in doing or using something.
For example: "The singer was also proficient in music keyboard skills."
