Democracy in Action

Last week, as the UK turned out to vote in the General Election, our boys gave a fantastic demonstration of active citizenship by conducting their own election.

Candidates were required to set out their manifesto in a video, explaining why people should vote for them. All of the entries were extremely professional and the boys proved a real credit to the school.

The result of the Cardinal Heenan vote was the direct opposite of that in the General Election - our Labour candidate, Matthew Rabbete, won by a landslide!

Everyone who took part - candidates and voters alike - deserves to be congratulated for delivering such an engaging and impressive election. Well done!
