During the last two weeks, our Year 10 Drama students have been developing their talents by working with students from Liverpool John Moores University, and they impressed so much that they were invited to perform at the University's Flip Festival.
As part of a developing partnership between the Cardinal Heenan and LJMU drama departments, our boys were given the opportunity to study the work of the playwright and director, Bertolt Brecht, as well as receiving a guided tour of the university and getting an insight into what studying drama is like at university level.
Year 10 successfully created a short performance piece that they were given the chance to perform at the Flip Festival, a fringe event of the university's Outta the Box festival, which offered 'pop-up theatre' in venues across the city.
All of the boys gave outstanding performances and the Drama staff are incredibly proud of their achievements. We would also like to say a huge thank you to the students from LJMU, who made the experience so enjoyable for everyone involved. They were brilliant to work with and the boys really enjoyed their time with them.
