Halfway there as AS Results Set the Platform for Success
Year 12 students got confirmation they are on the right track when they collected their AS results this morning.
There were many strong performances that will enable students to approach the final year with confidence as they form ambitious plans for their lives after school.
"It is an excellent set of AS results," said Mr Phipps. "Students' hard work and commitment throughout the year has been rewarded with these results but now they must get ready for the real challenge of A2s.
"They can be confident that if they continue to work hard and concentrate on their studies, they can enjoy another great results day next August.
"The results set the platform for university applications with a number of students looking to apply to Oxbridge and Russell Group universities."
The strong set of results included Joe McLean, who got As in chemistry and maths and Bs in biology and physics, and Elliot Powell, who got As in history and PE and a B in English literature.
Ben McNally, who is planning on studying maths at university and has already visited Oxford colleges twice as he considers his university applications, is also well set after achieving A grades in English literature, maths and further maths and a B in physics.
“Praise the Lord because he is good. His faithful love will last forever.”
