Psychology involves the scientific study of mental functions and human behaviours. It is an extremely popular AS/A2 Level subject with two full groups running each year.
Opportunities for interactive learning are provided during the course and students can also take part in trips and visits, in November 2013 a group took part in an innovative conference in Manchester about ‘Life behind bars.’
An understanding of this subject lends itself extremely well to many career paths but it is particularly useful to anyone looking to go into caring, medical or criminal justice roles in the future. Many of our pupils go on to study related courses at university with four of our 2012/2013 cohort currently studying BSc Psychology at the University of Liverpool.
