Here at Cardinal Heenan Catholic High School we offer a wide and varied curriculum with the aim of providing an engaging learning experience for all of our pupils, regardless of ability.
During years 7 and 8 all pupils follow more or less the same the programme of study. Core subjects build on primary school experiences, while others will be new and exciting. Careers education and citizenship will form part of the PSHE provision students also receive in Key Stage 3 studies.
Pupils continue to study the core subjects required by the national curriculum at Key Stage 4 and can choose to study specialist subjects and vocational qualifications as well.
We offer a wide range of A Levels in core and specialist subject areas alongside vocational courses in business, performing arts and sport at Key Stage 5.
